Northeast Georgia Physicians Group has launched a new Concierge Medicine practice in Gainesville, giving patients the ability to access care 24/7.
A press release from NGPG said the new practice will offer faster service for patients, access to your doctor’s cell phone number and 24/7 access to a doctor. Providers will be able to spend more time with their patients due to the smaller patient pool.
“The unhurried office visits allow their doctor to devote extra attention to the needs, issues and questions they might have about their health,” the release reads. “Plus, with their doctor’s cell phone number in their pocket, they won’t have to wait until the next day or through the weekend for pressing matters.”
Concierge Medicine patients also have access to a private waiting area with refreshments.
Dr. Margaret Grifa will bring the new practice to the county, with more than 15 years of experience in the family medicine setting.
“I went to the University of Georgia, my parents live in Hall County and my three siblings live nearby, too,” Dr. Grifa said. “I wanted my kids to grow up the same way I did, so I’m excited to be back home, bringing a new type of care to my community.”
Dr. Grifa earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She completed her residency at Marshall University Family Practice in Huntington, West Virginia.
Outside of work, she spends time in the air in a single-engine airplane and with her husband and three children.
Dr. Grifa said patients are required to pay a $1,600 annual fee to be a patient in the new practice. The practice is expected to support around 400 to 600 patients but could reach up to 800 depending on the patients in the panel.
