LILBURN, Ga. — East Jackson is back in the playoffs for the first time since 2009 after a 41-34 win over Providence Christian Friday night.
The Eagles jumped out to a 14-0 lead and led 21-17 at halftime before going back-and-forth with the Storm, holding on to the lead throughout the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Drew Richardson and Dekan Williams each had a pair of rushing touchdowns, while Gary Maddox III had one as well. In total, the Eagles ran for 323 yards while throwing for 107 to earn the playoff spot.
The Eagles will play host to Athens Academy next week in the final regular season game before jumping into the state playoffs.
