LOGANVILLE, Ga. — After cutting the lead to two, Flowery Branch couldn't find the endzone again as Loganville took a 31-22 win Friday night.
Loganville jumped out to a 24-0 lead at the 3:00 mark of the second quarter before Myles Ivey punched it in for the Falcons right before halftime to cut the lead to 24-8.
The Falcons came out after halftime and scored on a 5-yard pass from Josh Oliver to Brayden Jackson to further trim the lead to 24-16. Early in the fourth quarter, Flowery Branch found the endzone again on a 2-yard run from Ivey, but the two-point conversion failed to keep the score at 24-22.
On the ensuing kickoff, Loganville ran 65 yards to stop the momentum and take a 31-22 lead. The Falcons couldn't break through again, falling in their sixth straight game.
The Falcons will wrap up the season next week against Heritage at home.
