A Gainesville motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle wreck Monday afternoon off Price Road near Will Wallace Road.

According to a crash report from the Georgia State Patrol, Joshua Alexander Navarro, 31, was driving a Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Price Road at about 5:40 p.m. A car driven by Andres Escanuela Campa, 56, of Gainesville, was also traveling eastbound on Price Road.

The report alleges Campa was turning left into a private driveway on the road when Navarro reportedly struck the back of Campa's car. Navarro was reportedly driving too fast for conditions and was illegally passing Campa in the westbound lane when the accident happened. The report listed Navarro as the at-fault driver in the wreck.

The motorcycle eventually came to a rest off the north shoulder of the roadway, while the car stopped in the private driveway that they were originally attempting to turn into.

A witness claimed that Navarro hit the ground following the impact, while the motorcycle was thrown over the car and onto a nearby property.

Navarro was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. Campa suffered a "possible injury," according to the report, but was not transported.
