On Thursday, Nov. 10 the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office will host its annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway.
The giveaway will take place at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds and begin at 12:00 p.m. and end at 5 p.m. according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.
Last year the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office donated over 50 tons of food to over 3,000 people for Thanksgiving. Over 500 vehicles arrived at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds to receive turkeys, hams, roasters, and other grocery items. The food distributed is free.
There will be an onsite live DJ from iHeart Media to help celebrate the annual giveaway.
Some of this year’s sponsors for the event include Purdue, Southeast Cooperative, Jim Ellis Automotive Group, Jackson EMC, Publix, and Georgia Power.
