GAINESVILLE — Sam Gailey scored 17 of his game-high 21 points in the first half to propel North Hall to a 64-54 win over Flowery Branch at Lynn Cottrell Court on Saturday.

The win was the seventh straight for the surging Trojans (16-3) who have not lost since dropping their opening game of the Lanierland Tournament to East Hall. Flowery Branch dropped to 11-8 with the loss.

Both teams’ offenses came out ready as North Hall led 19-15 after the opening frame. The Trojans took a 42-33 lead into halftime behind Gailey.

In the second half, the defenses took over. The Falcons held North Hall to just 8 this quarter points while trimming the lead 50-46. But the Trojans turned the tables on Branch allowing just 8 fourth quarter Falcons points.

North Hall got a big 7-point effort from Robert Terry in the final period, who finished with 9 points total. Elijah Gaddy had 13 points for North Hall.

Branch got balanced scoring as Trey Shaw and Tyleek Worth both had 14 points. Jeremiah Ware and Jackson Owens each scored 10 points for the Falcons.

North Hall next will play host to West Hall on Tuesday in Region 7-3A action.

The Lady Falcons travel to Chestatee on Tuesday in a huge Region 8-4A showdown for both teams.
