Four arrested in North Georgia meth trafficking bust

Four suspects were recently arrested in North Georgia for charges related to trafficking and possession of methamphetamine after a five-month investigation by several agencies in the region.

According to a press release from the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, authorities seized about 3.5 pounds of methamphetamine that had been supplied by the organization in Habersham, Banks and Jackson counties. 

Authorities then arrested the four suspects after it was determined that they were allegedly responsible for distributing methamphetamine to a large area across North Georgia and South Carolina. 

According to the ARDEO release, the suspects' names and charges are as follows:

  • Bradley Jones, 33, of Alto. Jones was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine. 
  • Jon Michael Jolley, 36, of Gaffney, South Carolina. Jolley was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine.
  • Nicholas Matson, 26, of Chesnee, South Carolina. Matson was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine.
  • Kala Caddell, 28, of Alto. Caddell was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.

The investigation was conducted by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, Banks County Sheriff’s Office, Commerce Police Department, Riverdale Police Department, Georgia Department of Corrections, Georgia State Patrol and ARDEO.

ARDEO said the crimes are still under investigation.
