By AccessWDUN staff

More than a dozen people have died in Labor Day weekend vehicle crashes, including a man involved in a White County accident.

The Georgia State Patrol said troopers from Post 6 in Gainesville were called to the scene of the accident on Collins Road around 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4.

They determined Michael Tyler Bohn, 34, of Sautee-Nacoochee had been operating his motorcycle on Collins Road about two-tenths of a miles from Westmoreland Road when he failed to negotiate a curve. He ran off the roadway, struck an embankment and was ejected from the bike. He died as a result of his injuries.

No other vehicle were involved, according to the investigation.

The Labor Day weekend traffic count ends at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6.
