Donations for Louisiana accepted at the Gainesville Police Department

If you’re looking for ways to help with hurricane relief in Louisiana, one local group is accepting donations. The Gainesville Police and the Police Unit Tour Chapter 8 are partnering together to gather items for fellow first responders in hard-hit areas.

Donations will be accepted to help “Pack the Trailer” and needed items can be dropped off at the Gainesville Police Department at 701 Queen City Parkway. Donations will be received in the lobby this Tuesday through Thursday during business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday will be the last day donations will be received.

Items being collected include cased bottled water, paper towel rolls, new tarps, toilet paper, nonperishable food, and gift cards.
