CUMMING — The game was tied at halftime, but South Forsyth found its groove in the second half en route to a 41-17 win over Dawson County at War Eagle Stadium on Friday.

Dawson County's Zach Holtzclaw tied the game twice -- one-yard run and a four-yard run -- to keep the Tigers in the game in the first half, 21-17.

But in the second half, South Forsyth scored 28 points to put the game out of reach.

Jackson Grindle led the Tigers' rushing game with six carries for 71 yards. Holtzclaw was 11-of-26 for 210 yards and an interception. Bailey Dameron was the receiving leader for the second straight week with 11 catches for 148 yards.
