Two people were seriously injured after a wreck between a motorcycle and a SUV on Georgia 15/US 441 in Mountain City.
The 2006 Harley Davidson was behind a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport while the SUV stopped and attempted to turn left onto Cross Street, according to the Georgia State Patrol, and the motorcycle was following too closely. Troopers said the bike overturned before hitting the SUV in the rear, coming to an uncontrolled rest facing east in the northbound lanes of Georgia 15. The Hyundai remained in the left lane of Georgia 15 North, facing north.
Troopers said they have not identified the motorcyclist or their passenger, but both were taken to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center with serious injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai, Brendan Michael Cross of Clayton, was not injured.
