Ethan Wilson scored a home state victory on Saturday night for in Ultimate Super Late Model Series competition at Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, North Carolina.
Wilson, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, held off the competition in the 40-lap feature to record his first career series victory.
Wilson started the night by setting fast time at the 4/10-mile dirt track with a lap at 15.424 seconds. From there, Wilson beat out the field in the 40-lap feature to score the $4,000 winner’s payday.
Zack Mitchell came home in second, with Cody Overton in third, Ben Watkins in fourth, and Matthew Nance in fifth.
Cla Knight, Jeff Smith, Justin Hudspeth, Chris Meadows, and Doug Sanders rounded out the top 10.
