Two-year-old struck and killed in White County accident

By Dean Dyer WRWH Radio

Charges will not be filed after a two-year-old from Gainesville was struck and killed by her grandfather in White County Monday evening.

Cpl. B.D. Taylor with the Georgia State Patrol said a trooper responded to the accident call involving a 2014 Honda CR-V and two-year-old Isabella Rider. She was deceased upon the arrival of the investigating Trooper.

The incident occurred on a private drive located at 930 Woodland Road in Sautee Nacoochee. The driver of the vehicle was Rider's grandfather, 73-year-old Larry Flowers, of Sautee Nacoochee.

Cpl. Taylor said Flowers was turning into the driveway when he struck the two-year-old. According to Taylor, Flowers was unable to see the child due to the incline of the driveway and the girl's height.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family.
