LAGRANGE — Lanier Christian improved to 2-0 on the season with a solid 30-0 road win over Lafayette Christian on Friday night in GAPPS 8-man action.
A week after the offense erupted for 68 points, the defense, this week, showed it can be just as dominating pitching the shutout.
Sophomore quarterback Walker Anderson rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns and threw for another for the Lightning. Freshman running back Zeke Clanton ran for 111 yards and one score and also hauled in one touchdown pass from Anderson.
The Lightning did most of their damage early, jumping out to a 16-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. They extended the lead to 22-0 by halftime and cruised in the second half.
