CLEVELAND — JL Lackey had his way at Warrior Stadium on Friday night.
The senior running back scored five touchdowns to lead Hart County past White County 49-13.
Lackey rushed 27 times for 188 yards.
The Warriors actually scored first, after recovering the opening kickoff on the Bulldogs' 21-yard line. A few plays later, Silas Mulligan punched it in from five yards out a few plays later. The Warriors were up 6-0 (missed extra point) with 9:42 to go in the first quarter.
Then it was all Lackey and the Bulldogs. Lackey scored on runs of 2, 2, 4, 1 and 3. Nori Moore scored on a 14-yard touchdown late in the third quarter and set up Lackey's fourth touchdown with a 47-yard run. Moore churned out 107 yards on 10 carries.
White County added a late touchdown when Billy Carder connected with Canaan Cleveland on a 31-yard pass. Carder was 3-of-9 passing for 95 yards, while Silas Mulligan rushed for 86 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown. Darius Cannon hauled in 64 yards on four receptions
