Softball: East Hall gets 1st 8-4A win over North Oconee

RABBITTOWN — East Hall snapped a two-game losing streak to open Region 8-4A with a 6-3 victory over North Oconee on Wednesday.at East Hall Park.

Calli Hardison had another solid outing in the circle going the distance allowing three runs on five hits and striking out 12.

Maddie Johnson took the loss for North Oconee going six innings allowing six runs on 11 hits.

The Lady Vikings (5-2, 1-2 Region 8-4A) broke a scoreless tie in the fourth on a Callie Dale RBI single. Brooke Hewell followed with a RBI groundout to make it 2-0. Later, with two outs, Hannah McCullough stole home and Kaylana Curry doubled in a run for a 4-0 lead.

After the Lady Titans cut the lead to 4-1 in the top of the fifth, East Hall extended the lead to 6-1 plating a pair of unearned runs.

Curry finished with three hits to lead an 11-hit attack for East Hall. Gracie Ausborn and Hardison both had two hits and Alexis Burce and Ansley Ivey had one hit apiece for the Lady Vikings.
