TOCCOA — White County's offense took the struggle bus to The Reservation in a 34-20 loss to Stephens on Friday.
The Warriors only scored one offensive touchdown -- a Billy Carder 28-yard pass to Darius Cannon. The other two came off a Colton Turner interception with 2:47 to go in the second quarter and a 95-yard kickoff return for a score from Cannon.
Carder's touchdown toss to Cannon was a fourth-down-and-four conversion that gave the Warriors the lead at the half, 20-14.
In the second half, the Warriors were inside the Stephens County 20-yard line twice in the second half and turned it over on downs.
The Indians struck fast to open the second half, going two plays in 15 seconds -- Ben Stowe hit Cam Lacey on a 46-yard pass, and Stowe walked in from five yards out. The touchdown pushed Stephens County ahead for good as the Indians scored two more times.
Silas Mulligan led the Warriors with 126 yards rushing on 20 carries. Tyson Everett, who scored on a 51-yard run, led the Indians with 118 yards.
