Athens woman convicted in Hall Superior Court in child sex abuse case

An Athens woman has been convicted in Hall County Superior Court in a sex abuse case involving a seven-year-old girl. 

The guilty verdict was handed down Thursday morning against Debby Ann Bostick, 42, according to the office of Northeastern Judicial Circuit District Attorney Lee Darragh. 

Bostick had been charged with one count of aggravated sexual battery in connection to the abuse of the girl in November 2019. 

The jury trial for Bostick took place before Judge C. Andrew Fuller over the course of four days. Senior Assistant District Attorney Harold Buckler prosecuted the case .

Bostick will be sentenced at a later date. 

At last check, Bostick was being held at the Hall County Jail.
