A missing senior citizen was rescued from a ravine in Forsyth County on Monday. According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was found in a deep ravine by a rising creek.
After the family alerted the sheriff’s office that they were concerned for her well-being, many agencies began an intense search, including uniform patrol, Special Operations Deputies, volunteers, drone teams and K9 teams. A K9 named Buzz, along with Sgt. Sprague, located the woman in the woods behind her house.
The Sheriff's Office released a video from the body cam of Sgt. Sprague. He can be heard using the radio to describe her precarious situation and says she is about "20 feet down an embankment."
The woman, identified as Mary Kennedy, was able to be rescued and was treated for injuries.
