Lee Darragh, the District Attorney for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit, has appointed veteran prosecutor Kelley Robertson as the Chief Assistant District Attorney for the circuit.
"Throughout Kelley’s 16 years in this office, she has exhibited the skills and leadership qualities that a Chief ADA should have," Darragh. "I was proud to appoint her as my Chief, and look forward to successfully working with her as we and our partners in every group of the DA’s staff continue to seek justice for the citizens of our circuit."
According to Darragh, Robertson is a 1999 graduate of Emory University and received her law degree from the University of Georgia in 2002. She has worked in the District Attorney’s Office since January of 2005 and has served as the chair of the Child Fatality Review as well as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia. Robertson is also a frequent presenter and teacher for the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia.
Robertson recently successfully prosecuted DeMarvin Bennett for the 2019 murder of Gainesville businessman Jack Hough, Willie Moran in the 2019 attempted murders at the Huddle House and on Marlow Drive, and she was part of the team that prosecuted the defendants in the murder of Deputy Blane Dixon this summer.
Robertson was sworn in on July 29, 2021 by Superior Court Judge Jason Deal.
