The Long and Difficult Path Ahead

By Martha Zoller

With Inflation at 5% and President Biden asking OPEC to produce more to help gas prices after cutting 20,000 American jobs on the Keystone XL Pipeline in addition to taking the USA from being energy independent to being energy dependent again in a little more than 7 months, people might say, “What else can go wrong?” As a famous fallen from grace comedian once said, “Do not ever challenge worse.”

President Biden has not made a good foreign policy decision in his entire long career. He has been on the wrong side of every major decision in this area since he was first elected to the United States Senate. He has continued his streak of bad decisions as it relates to leaving Afghanistan. In the last 2 years, with 2500 U. S. troops, we held Afghanistan and protected the rights of women and other communities and propped up the Afghan government. But Biden decided to do what you never do, tell your enemy what your plans are. He gave them a date certain for our withdrawal. The Taliban did what they do. They started taking over villages with brutality and barbarism and in 2 short weeks, took over the country of Afghanistan with American forces abandoning the embassy and many of the Afghanis who helped us. President Biden and his team should be ashamed of themselves.

Layer that on top of an open border that is letting 100,000 plus come across the border with questionable Covid status every month from dozens of countries around the world, many not from this hemisphere. Do not be surprised if there are Taliban fighters already in the United States. You know how they love anniversaries and the 20th anniversary of the 9/11/2001 Attacks on America are just around the corner. Pray that God will put the hand of discernment on our intelligence agencies to break up the plots against us and on President Biden and his team. He says he is man of God, and it seems God is the only person who can save him (and us) from this terrible mistake.

I can handle the economic mistakes he is making because we are America, and we can work our way out of them eventually. But the disregard for the sacrifices made every day since 9/11/2001 is appalling. He often speaks of his son, Beau, and his sacrifices. He is making a mockery of them today. President Biden, you are either a very bad man or a man who has learned nothing from being in the pinnacle of power for almost 50 years, I am not sure which is true. Either way, this is your Viet Nam.
