A capsized boat found on the Cornelia Reservoir leaves authorities searching for a missing man.
On Saturday morning, game wardens with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) responded to a call about a missing man. He had not been heard from since Thursday evening when severe weather came through the area.
According to Mark McKinnon with the DNR, the man’s boat was found near the dam of the reservoir off of Camp Creek Road. Some personal belongings were found nearby and his vehicle was also located at the boat ramp.
Multiple agencies have been on the scene all day Saturday and Sunday searching for the man, including dive teams, GSP Aviation, and Habersham EMS.
