The Dahlonega Butterfly Farm on Castleberry Bridge Road offers a scenic escape only a few miles from the busy downtown square.
Owner JoAnn Goldenburg strives to provide an educational, yet relaxing experience as she takes guest on tours. From the containment room where the butterflies are "born", to the butterfly conservatory where they are able to fly freely, tourists will undoubtedly learn something about every stage of a butterfly's short lifespan.
AccessWDUN reporter Lauren Hunter took a trip to the farm this week, where she gained a greater insight into having butterflies as a part of our ecosystem. To get an idea of her experience, and look into a regular farm tour, check out the video above.
More information about the Dahlonega Butterfly Farm is on its webpage.
Life with Lauren is a new series on AccessWDUN scheduled to run periodically. The author would like to thank the staff at the Dahlonega Butterfly Farm for their cooperation and the invitation to join in on the experience.
