GSP: DUI driver crashes into half dozen vehicles in Commerce parking lot

A driver who lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a half dozen parked vehicles in Commerce has been charged with DUI. 

SFC Timothy Meyer with the Georgia State Patrol said troopers responded to a call at Roper Pump Company at 3475 Old Maysville Road just after 5 p.m. Friday, July 2.

Meyer identified the driver of the vehicle as Austin T. Bailey, 27, of Lawrenceville. 

"He lost control of his vehicle, traveled into a parking lot and struck six parked vehicles," Meyer said in an email statement. "He is facing DUI and other traffic-related charges."

Bailey was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. 

No other injuries were reported.
