Matt Cooper scored his first career Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series victory on Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, Tennessee.
Cooper, who hails from McKenzie, Tennessee, led all but the opening lap of the 40-lap feature en route to the win and a $4,000 payday.
Commerce, Georgia’s Payton Freeman finished in second, with Dane Dacus in third, Sam Seawright in fourth and Ashton Winger in fifth.
Christian Hanger, Billy Franklin, Caleb Ashby, David Seibers and John Minon, Jr. rounded out the top 10.
