A Braselton man is in jail without bond after he reportedly threatened two family members with a gun and a knife earlier this week.
Hall County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Terry Wayne Rowe, 57, on Monday, May 31 following an incident at a home on Oliver Road.
"According to the initial investigation, Rowe pointed a handgun at an adult female family member at the location and told her he would kill her. Additionally, Rowe held a kitchen knife in his hands, advanced toward an adult male family member and threw the knife at the victim while also threatening to kill him," said Sheriff's Office spokesman Derreck Booth in an email statement.
Booth said Rowe broke a closet door, cut a pillow and bent a broom handle during the episode.
By the time deputies arrived at the scene around 12:30 p.m., Rowe had left the residence, but deputies began looking for him.
"Deputies and a K9 Unit tracked Rowe to a wood line off of Union Church Road and made the arrest without incident," Booth said.
Rowe was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of criminal trespass under the Family Violence Act. In addition, Rowe had outstanding warrants for his arrest for aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act and entering auto. Booth said the warrants related to the same victims at the same address; the aggravated assault occurred on April 29, while the entering auto crime occurred on April 27.
