Sawnee Mountain Park in Forsyth County is getting a facelift, and coming up on Tuesday, May 25, county officials will hold a ceremonial groundbreaking for the renovation project.
Most amenities at the park closed for renovations on May 10. The $3.25 million in funding for the project comes from SPLOST VIII funds. Among the renovations - baseball/softball complex improvements, a new playground and pavilion, refurbished tennis courts, parking lot upgrades and updated restrooms and a concession stand.
The renovations are projected for completion by early 2022.
Sawnee Mountain Park is located at 3995 Watson Road.
