Main Street NW in Gainesville will be closed to thru traffic starting next week.
The closure is between Academy Street and Washington Street from Monday, May 17 until Monday, July 5. It is closed for utility work, according to a public notice from the City of Gainesville.
Officials urge drivers to use caution and watch for construction workers and equipment in the area during this time.
