Murder warrants issued after missing Barrow Co. woman found dead

By Bryan Pirkle Reporter

A Gainesville man is among five suspects wanted in connection with the murder of a Barrow County woman earlier this week.

Bethlehem resident Rossana Delgado, 37, was found dead in Gilmer County on Tuesday. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) says they have since identified four out of five individuals believed to be responsible for her death, and that murder warrants have been issued for the following:

  • Juan Ayala-Rodriguez, 35, of Gainesville
  • Megan Alyssa Colone, 30, of Stone Mountain
  • Oscar Manuel Garcia, 26, of Austell
  • Mario Alberto Barbosa-Juarez, 29, of Oklahoma City, OK.

"It is believed that the four suspects plus a fifth suspect, that has yet to be identified, may no longer be in Georgia," explained GBI Public Affairs Director Nelly Miles. "Colone may be traveling under the alias, Grace Beda. Colone is believed to be traveling with her minor children."

The GBI has issued a nationwide alert notifying other jurisdictions about these individuals. The fifth individual has not been identified, but his photo was released in the hopes that the public may help to identify him.

Miles said the murder investigation began around 7 a.m. Tuesday when the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office was asked to conduct a welfare check at a residence in the Cherry Log community, located northeast of Ellijay.

"Gilmer County deputies responded and then requested the assistance of the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Cleveland, GA," Miles said. "The victim found at the scene was later identified as Delgado."

Delgado had previously been reported as a missing person in Barrow County the previous Friday, and was last seen in DeKalb County that same day.

Anyone with information regarding the four identified suspects, or who can help identify the fifth suspect in the case, is asked to call the GBI Tipline at 1-800-597-TIPS(8477).
