COMMERCE — Kane Goldman drove in five runs, including a two-run homer, to lead Commerce past Social Circle, 12-2, at home on Tuesday.
The win extends the Tigers' Region 8-A lead over Washington-Wilkes.
Commerce (19-8, 14-2 Region 8-A) opened the game with a 3-0 lead after the first and scattered nine runs over the next five innings to run-rule Social Circle.
Cory Freeman was 1-for-2 with a two-run homer, and Matt Martin had a 3-for-4 day at the plate, driving in two runs.
Will Slater earned the win for the Tigers, giving up two runs on six hits and seven strikeouts through six innings of work.

Henry Stewart had a game-winning single scoring Jake Hannon in the bottom of the 8th inning to seal the win for the Lions.
Skyler Thellman led off the fourth inning with an opposite-field home run, followed by Jesse Whiting's double. After a walk to Jake Hannon, Hunter Allen hit a three-run homer.
Conley Millwood tied the game in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI single.
Ryan Black earned the win in relief, going 3 1/3 innings, allowing one hit, no runs while striking out two.
The Lions play host to the Weber School on Wednesday. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
