Overton takes USLMS Starrette Memorial win at Modoc

MODOC, S.C. - Brandon Overton held off Trent Ivey to score the victory in Saturday night’s Jack Starrette Memorial for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series at South Carolina’s Modoc Speedway.

It gives the Evans, Georgia driver six career series victories, and sent him back to the Peach State $5,022 richer.

Overton started the night by setting fast time in qualifying with a a time of 16.747 seconds around the 4/10-mile dirt oval before going on to record the win.

Ivey had to settle for runner-up honors, with Zack Mitchell in third, Ross Bailes in fourth and Anthony Sanders in fifth.

Matthew Nance, Benji Hicks, Dustin Mitchell, Pearson Lee Williams, and Kenny Collins rounded out the top 10
