Basketball: Wolves' Martin steps down after 6 seasons

BUFORD — Buford boys basketball coach Eddie Martin has stepped down, effective immediately.

The school made the announcement in a press release Thursday morning.

Martin led the Wolves the past six seasons amassing a 139-36 record of 139-36 and leading the team to two state championships in 2017 and 2019. In his career, Martin compiled an overall coaching record of 852-263 winning nine state championships and one state runner-up finish.

Martin also had 68 former players move on to the collegiate level, with five playing in the NBA.
