Forsyth County is one of many Georgia governments sending help to Newnan to help the city recover from a devastating EF-4 tornado that struck last week, causing widespread damage.
On Saturday, two Forsyth County Water & Sewer Department jet vac trucks, along with two crews, were used to assist in resetting power poles in the ground and constructing power lines.
Information from county officials said one of the crews returned to Forsyth County on Sunday with the second crew assisting with the restoration of power utilities until Monday.
Both crews reported devastation like they had never seen before. Officials in Newnan and Coweta County predict it will take months to make full repairs in the aftermath of the tornado.
