GAINESVILLE — The Flowery Branch girls and boys tennis teams walked out of Longwood Park big winners on Wednesday against Gainesville.
The Lady Falcons won all five matches in a dominant fashion. Alyssa McSpadden (6-1, 6-0), Sandra Hernandez (6-0, 6-0) and Julianna Velaj (6-2, 6-2) won in straight sets in singles action, while Madison Sedwick and Avery Marx (6-2, 6-2) and Katie Martin and Savannah Regnier (6-0, 6-1) swept the doubles action.
On the boy's side, Will Hernandez (6-1, 6-1), Jack Thomas (6-0, 6-1) and Caden Caldwell (6-1, 6-4) won all three singles matches. Gainesville's Caleb Anderson and Charlie Burns (6-1, 6-0) and Samuel Holt and Andrew Elliott (6-1, 6-4) captured both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches.
