More work is planned this weekend on the I-985 southbound bridge over SR 60/Queen City Parkway in Gainesville. That means a single-lane closure will be in place on the southbound side of the highway from Friday night through Monday morning.
Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will begin their work at 8 p.m. Friday, March 19 and wrap up weekend construction on Monday, March 22 at 6 a.m.
Workers will install a single-lane closure in the area, so traffic will be allowed to move through the area, but delays are likely.
The overall project is expected to be complete in November 2021.
The ongoing construction will occur as weather permits.
