Wilson wins USCS Shoals Shootout at North Alabama

Greg Wilson charged past Mark Smith on lap 23 of Saturday night’s USCS Sprint Car Series Shoals Shootout at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

From there, Wilson went on to lead the final seven laps to record the win at the 3/8-mile, red clay oval.

The victory was worth $2,500 for the Benton Ridge, Ohio racer, as he recorded his first USCS win of the season and his second at North Alabama in series competition.

Smith finished in second, with Dale Howard in third, Landon Britt in fourth, and Morgan Turpen in fifth.

Connor Leoffler, Kyle Amerson, Davie Franek, Danny Smith, and Chase Howard rounded out the top 10.

Terry Gray, Wilson, and Britt won their respective heat races, while Franek won the speed dash.

The USCS Sprint Car Series returns to action on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20 at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama. For more information, visit USCSRacing.com.
