Winder-Barrow, Greenville-Pickens set for 2021 openers

With warmer weather spreading across the region this week, the short track racing season can’t be far behind.

Several tracks and series around the southeast will open their 2021 campaigns this coming weekend, as a new racing season is set to roll off.

Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway is among those scheduled to drop the green flag on the new season on Saturday, March 6. Divisions for 2021 at the ¼-mile clay raceway include Limited Late Models, Hobby 602, Modified Street, Stock V8, Stock 4a, Stock 4b, and Front Wheel Drive. On asphalt, the historic half-mile Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Easley, South Carolina looks to get their season started on Saturday, March 6. Visit GreenvillePickens.com for more information.

Another historic short track, North Carolina’s Hickory Motor Speedway, will get the 2021 season underway on Saturday, March 6. For more information on the season at asphalt 3/8-mile track, check HickoryMotorSpeedway.com.
