Paulie Colagiovanni powered to the lead around lap 15 of Friday night’s USCS Sprint Car Series race at Mississippi’s Hattisburg Speedway, and went on to score the victory.
The Cicero, New York driver took the lead from Terry Gray at the halfway point of the 30-lap feature, and then held off Morgan Turpen over several restarts.
Dale Howard would make his way around Turpen to finish in second. Ryan Timms finished in fourth, with Max Stambaugh in fifth.
Gray, Brent Crews, Mark Smith, Danny Smith and Chase Howard rounded out the top 10.
The series was slated to race on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi, but that event was rained out.
The USCS Sprint Car Series returns to action on March 5 and 6 at Chatham Speedway in Chatham, Louisiana. For more info, visit USCSRacing.com.
