Girls basketball: East Hall rolls past Madison, into 3rd place in 8-4A; Buford beats Shiloh; Lakeview falls

RABBITTOWN — The East Hall girls moved into third place in Region 8-4A with a big 52-37 win over Madison County on Tuesday in Valhalla.

The Lady Vikings (15-7, 6-4 Region 8-4A) were paced by Callie Dale with 14 points. Carly Campbell added 13 and Maleah Harrison 10 for East Hall. 

East Hall, which has won three of its last four games overall, next travels to Jefferson on Thursday in another huge region showdown.

SHILOH 35

The Lady Wolves continued their dominance of Region 8-6A with the win over Shiloh on Tuesday at home. 

Sara Viti led Buford with 13 points, and Ava Grace Watson chipped in 11. 

The Lady Wolves (20-0, 9-0 Region 8-6A) will be the No. 1 seed in next week's region tournament at Buford City Arena. 


PINECREST 45,
LAKEVIEW 44

The Lady Lions couldn't put it together for two halves in the loss to Pinecrest on the road Tuesday.

Lakeview jumped out to a 19-8 lead in the first quarter and led 32-21 at the half. But Pinecrest outpaced Lakeview 24-12 in the second half to rally for the win.

Joelle Snyder scored 26 points to lead the Lady Lions in the loss. Ashlynn Henderson added 8 points, and Annie Nivens pulled 8 rebounds.
