GAINESVILLE — The Johnson and Lakeview Academy tennis teams split a of pair matches Tuesday at the Lakeview Academy Courts.
The Lakeview boys took a 4-1 win while the Johnson girls took a 4-1 victory over the Lady Lions.
In the boys match, Lakeview swept the doubles and got wins at Nos. 1 and 2 singles. Andrew Kilroy beat Adrian Blankenship 6-2, 6-1 at No.1 singles and Bennett Kilroy knocked off Allan Garcia 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. The Knights got their lone win at No. 3 singles when Leandro Cupps beat Garv Gaur 6-3, 6-0.
The Lions also got wins from No. 1 doubles when Andrew Pope and Sam Carter beat Levi McBride and Sebastian Perez 6-3, 6-2 and at No. 2 doubles as Will Landers and Bennet Hyton beat Johan Vargas and Jesus Valles 7-6, 6-3.
In the girls match, the Lady Knights powered to the win with a sweep of the singles. Olivia Carpenter beat Olivia Kemplar 7-5, 6-1 at No. 1 with Zoey Blankenship and Lucy Bagwell both taking 6-0, 6-0 wins in the other two singles.
In doubles, Johnson's No. 1 team of Melia Glover and Sophia Chica took a tough three-set match win while the Lady Lions only win was at No. 2 doubles in a win by Ashley Hall and Kiara Booker.

The Lady Falcons dropped tough match to the Class 7A Lady Hawks at the Flowery Branch Courts.
Flowery Branch got both of its wins at the top of singles as Alyssa McSpadden took a dominate 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 and Sandra Hernandez won 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 2.
Mill Creek answered with 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 3 singles and at No. 2 doubles. The match came down to the No 1 doubles with the Lady Hawks' Dekota Taylor and Bailey Northcutt taking a close 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) win over Julianna Velaj and Savannah Regnier to pull out the team win.
The Lady Falcons dropped to 1-1 on the season.
