Hall County School District to hold public vaccine clinics this month

Community members, students and teachers this month will be able to get COVID-19 and flu vaccines at two clinics at Hall County high school basketball games.

The Hall County School District Nursing Program is sponsoring the clinics prior to the Dec. 7 game at North Hall High School and the Dec. 14 game at East Hall High School. (see details below)

Both flu and COVID-19 vaccinations will be available; COVID-19 boosters will be available, as well. 

Gift card incentives will be available for those who receive the COVID-19 vaccine, according to a statement from the school district. The $25 gift cards, available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, have been made available through the North Georgia Community Foundation COVID-19 Relief Fund. Gift cards will not be distributed to those receiving flu vaccines.

Currently, 45% of eligible Hall County residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19; the state rate is 51%. 

On Thursday, Dec. 3, the school district reported 15 positive COVID cases among students and staff. Forty people were under modified quarantine for close contact, while 27 were quarantined at home. 

COVID-19 Vaccinations and COVID-19 Boosters

Individuals age 5 and older may receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent present to be vaccinated. Please present ID and a copy of your insurance. Individuals with no insurance will be administered a COVID-19 vaccine free of charge. Those receiving a COVID-19 booster should bring a copy of the COVID-19 vaccine card.

Flu Vaccinations

Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent present to be vaccinated.  Please present ID and a copy of your insurance. For those individuals without insurance, there will be a charge of $40.
