Newsroom's Pet of the Month: meet Sheila!

By Lauren Hunter Multimedia Journalist

Newsroom's Pet of the Month for December is Sheila!

Sheila is a one year, 7-month-old Boxer/Bulldog mix at the Hall County Animal Shelter.

According to info from the shelter, Sheila is a medium-sized female dog weighing in at 44 pounds. She looks like the perfect cross between a Boxer and Bulldog, with brown and white coloring and floppy ears.

Sheila has called the shelter home for almost exactly two months after being found as a stray in Gainesville. She gets along with other dogs and loves people! She also loves to play outside.

No one likes to be alone on the holidays, so go check out Sheila and her furry friends at the Hall County Animal Shelter. An appointment is required for adoptions. Potential adopters can schedule their appointment by calling 678-450-1587 ext. 9 or emailing Trey Garcia at [email protected].

Speaking of taking a furry friend home, the Hall County Animal Shelter is having an Empty the Shelter event starting December 7 through 11 and then again December 14 through 18.

Adoption fees will be $25 for cats, kittens, puppies and large dogs. Senior dogs 6 years old and older are always free.

An appointment is required for Empty the Shelter as well.
