By AccessWDUN staff

The Hall County Sheriff's Office said escaped inmate Mike James Wade was recaptured without incident Friday morning.

Lt. Greg Cochran said Wade, 27, was arrested around 7:15 a.m. at a location on LaPrad Circle in Gillsville.

Wade had been working in the lobby of the Hall County Jail under a court-ordered work release when he removed his ankle monitor and walked out of the jail. At the time, Wade was serving time for a burglary charge. He has now been charged with escape and interference with government property, according to Cochran.

Not only was Wade arrested Friday morning, but two women were charged with hindering apprehension.

Cochran identified the women as Susan Wade, 54, and Ashley Huff, 30; Wade is the inmate's mother and Huff is believed to be his girlfriend.

The incident remains under investigation.
