Gwinnett County Solicitor-General Brian Whiteside will host a crime prevention safety event on Sunday, Oct. 17 at Rhodes Jordan Park.
Whiteside is calling the event "Driving While Black," and he said he plans to discuss Second Amendment right, self defense and survival tactics when coming face-to-face with a violent offender. The event is open to the public and area residents are invited to ask questions and share concerns.
The session is scheduled from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Stanley R. Gunter Pavilion #3. Rhodes Jordan Park is located at 100 E. Crogan Street in Lawrenceville.
