A Lithia Springs man was fatally injured in a two vehicle crash in Dawson County Sunday.
A motorcycle driven by Daniel Wesley Duncan, 50, of Lithia Springs was traveling north on State Route 400 when he reportedly drove around multiple vehicles stopped for a red light at Quill Drive, according to the Georgia State Patrol. Troopers said the motorcycle continued through a gore area on SR 400 and into the intersection of Quill Drive and struck a Volkswagen Passat. The Volkswagen was attempting to turn left from SR 400 South from Quill Drive.
Troopers said after the impact, both Duncan and his passenger, Penny Lynn Duncan, 51, of Lithia Springs, were separated from the vehicle. Penny Duncan sustained serious injuries, according to the state patrol.
The driver of the Volkswagen, Julia Bondeson, 21, of Suwanee, suffered minor injuries.
