Five arrested in White County drug sting

White County Sheriff Rick Kelley has announced that five people were arrested in White County on drug-related charges. 
 

Sheriff Kelley in a news release said "Following up on tips and complaints from the citizens of White County, White County Sheriff’s Deputies, Agents with Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, Officers with the Department of Community Supervision visited numerous residential addresses in the county on Thursday, September 30th." Kelley said they targeted multiple locations in the Kellum Valley community.

Based upon the follow-up investigation at those addresses, Sheriff Kelley said they made five arrests.

Those taken into custody were identified as Nicholas Chaney Toler, 30, of Gainesville, charged with possession of meth and possession of heroin; 42-year-old John David Howard, 42, of Cleveland, arrested on a warrant out of Hall County; Michael Kelly Small, 55, of Cleveland, charged with possession of meth and possession of controlled substance Schedule II (Adderall); Stephanie Dawn Watson, 40, of Cleveland, charged with possession of methamphetamine; and Desiray Lane Rider, 33, of Cleveland, charged with possession of methamphetamine.

In addition to the arrests, officers also confiscated $15,000 worth of stolen property.
