GAINESVILLE — Union County picked up its first win of the season over Riverside Military, 48-14, on Friday at McGinnis Field.
The Panthers were 0-4 heading into the Region 8-2A opener against the Eagles (1-4, 0-1 Region 8-2A). The win keeps the Panthers' playoff hopes alive in the five-team region.
Riverside's offensive woes continue in the loss, while the Panthers (1-4, 1-0 Region 8-2A) found a rhythm on both sides of the ball.
