A man accused of paying a female juvenile in Oconee County for explicit images online has been arrested in New Jersey.

According to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, 34-year-old Eric E. Talley was arrested in Union County, New Jersey on January 5 with arrest warrants taken out in Georgia for sexual exploitation of children. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation and Computer Unit started investigating Talley following a report made to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Talley allegedly had a previous criminal history for possessing and viewing child pornography in New Jersey and minor/criminal solicitation of a minor in South Carolina. At the time of the investigation, Talley was a registered sex offender in New Jersey.

A joint search between the GBI, FBI, Oconee County Sheriff's Office and several other agencies of Talley's home on January 5 uncovered evidence and led to his arrest. In addition to his charges in Georgia, Talley faces multiple criminal charges in New Jersey for violating the terms of his status as a registered sex offender.

Talley remains in custody in New Jersey awaiting extradition to Georgia.
