Boys basketball: Gainesville rolls against EHall; Lakview edges GW

RABBITTOWN — Gainesville (14-6) pushed its win streak to four straight en route to a 78-59 win over East Hall (5-14) on the road Saturday.

Eli Pitts lead all scorers with 19 points and Ced Nicely had his best scoring output this season with 17 points, including six in the opening quarter to lift the Red Elephants to a 16-9 lead after the opening period.

From there, Gainesville rolled, extending its lead to 33-22 by halftime and 58-42 after the third quarter.

Robert Reisman chipped in 10 points to put three Red Elephants in double figures. Overall, Gainesville had 11 score. 

Christian Torres scored 13 to pace the Vikings, Imre Earls had 12 and Levi Holtzclaw scored 11.

GEORGE WALTON 54

Ben Montgomery and Conley Millwood scored 11 as the Lions (11-4, 6-2 Region 6-A) edged George Walton on Saturday.

Wesley Rigdon added 10 points.

The Lions led at the half 23-17 but lost control after the third period falling behind 42-39.

Lakeview outscored George Walton 16-12 in the fourth quarter to rally to the win.
