Three northeast Georgia area wrestling programs earned No. 1 seeds in the upcoming State Preliminary round after winning their Area Duals on Friday.
Jefferson held off Flowery Branch 58-12 to win the Region 8-4A Duals at home. The Dragons also should be a No. 1 seed and play host to a four-team bracket.
Commerce, which won six straight Class A titles from 2014 to 2019 until Trion snapped their title streak last season, won the Area 8-A Duals in punishing fashion at Towns County High School.
